Divita – Miracles is leading the way in providing trauma training to everyone throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina!
Since 2019, Divita – Miracles has been collaborating with Trauma Free World – USA to offer certified courses on understanding and overcoming traumatic experiences in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The TFW methodology is used in 71 countries and is certified by the American National Association of Social Workers. Thousands of schools, businesses, healthcare providers, caregivers, trainers, foster carers and NGOs participate in learning, implementation and training guides to provide adequate access to their users.
Our certified TCC trainers offer individual or group assessment, training and seminars for professionals or caregivers interested in better understanding trauma. Participants gain practical skills to address how trauma affects their clients or employees, manuals and forms, assessments and other tools are included to support training implementation. This training is designed to give you a thorough insight into how to recognize trauma, what are the triggers of trauma, and how to help people who have experienced trauma, as well as practical tools that you can immediately put into practice.

We know that without a full understanding of trauma, the educational and community development strategies used today may not be used to their maximum capacity and effectiveness. Trauma training equips you to better respond to challenging behaviors and build a brighter future for the children and adults you work with or collaborate with.
Although 30 years ago, during the 90s, B&H was affected by a terrible war and suffering, which was witnessed not only by soldiers, but also by civilians, many of whom were children at the time, and today are parents and professionals who work in direct contact with children. The problem lies in the fact that most people from B&H never sought professional help after the end of the war. Experienced trauma has never been processed in most cases, and we are witnessing the transgenerational transfer of trauma and secondary traumatization of all generations born after the war in the 90s. All this is caused by the fact that until recently psychological help was a taboo topic. People in B&H live in difficult economic conditions, and those affected by previous traumas indulge in vices, which contributes to new traumatization as well as re-traumatization. Given that awareness of trauma, its impact on the functioning of the individual and the entire life, as well as society, has only begun to awaken in B&H in the past few years, the education of parents and professionals is necessary in these areas, in order to create better conditions for the growth of new generations.
